OVERVIEW: The Director, Brand Marketing leads the development of brand strategy, working collaboratively with the business units and product to ensure global adoption. She/He will provide vision, direction, consultation and project leadership, successfully evolving the Company brand over time. The Director, Brand Marketing will foster an environment of dynamic continuity in creation, preparation and implementation of all branded materials worldwide (signage, graphics, etc), and evaluate the effectiveness of these branding efforts. This key position reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and will be responsible for elevating and leveraging Company brand globally. The right candidate must have excellent professionalism, courage, intellectual curiosity, innovation, resourcefulness, and tenacity. Key Responsibilities: Strengthen brand identity and strengthen brand equity in order to drive Incremental growth and market share for Company in all regions of operations Develops an overall brand positioning that underscores the brand equity, but evolves it to be current and engaging for current and future consumers, and delivered through a communication strategy that is relevant to today’s consumer Manage enterprise-wide initiatives, programs, and activities related to brand position that reinforce overall brand equity and drive brand awareness Develop and track brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty vs established goals Increase brand awareness among broader category user population Increase brand trial among target consumer base Increase brand retention and growth among existing consumer base Develop and present market insight and strategic overview for management and sales department heads to be used both internally, and for seasonal trade meetings Lead the development of annual and longer term strategic planning sessions for Leadership Team and key stakeholders Lead long-term media mix planning process for the company, and share strategy across key business partners including Sales, Product Development, E/M Commerce teams, as well as Senior Leadership Team Develop a marketing strategy that is “content-driven, mobile-dominant” and aligned with our brand DNA, and then lead its implementation across the organization Serve as industry expert, providing marketing insights to business partners, outline the opportunity for Company within the current environment for market share gain by account, product category, geographic region and consumer demographic Work closely with US and International Marketing and Sales teams to co-create seasonal go-to-market strategies for both new launches as well as ongoing hero franchises and programs, trade partner exclusives, and influencer collaborations Ensure brand content including all copy and creative is best-in-class and meets brand requirements that build upon brand equity, and develop a community of brand loyalists and advocates Develop and manage brand identities, including naming and packaging, communications architecture, and brand identity standards/guidelines. Stay up to date on market trends, technologies, competitors, trade partners, consumer trends, market size and channels of distribution and present key trends internally Partner with the business and product development to coordinate the implementation of brand entry in local regions/countries. Recommend SRP for initial product launch in all markets of business and align with both Product Development, Sales Teams, and Financial forecasting teams Own seasonal SRP updates for in-line, ongoing product assortment that is based on competitive landscape, brand benefits, and overall brand position Leverage consumer feedback from Customer Service team to improve products, service, and enhance overall brand experience QUALIFICATIONS : High energy, positive can-do attitude who not only achieves, but exceeds in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments Strong leadership skills who can galvanize not only those who work for her/him, but also all those within the organization on a global level Proven success in establishing and fostering strong relationships both internally and with outside vendor partners Positive, Pro-active problem-solving abilities Deep digital marketing experience that spans defining overarching strategies to executing their implementation Able to translate brand vision and strategy into incisive, practical guidelines Active listener who communicates effectively on business issues as well as creative insight Excellent interpersonal skills as a proven leader in establishing climate, culture and strategic directions that drive success Demonstrated ability as a valued senior team member who can effectively and positively influence others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and creatively, business savvy, exercises judgment Strong experience in supporting business transformation, active collaboration, agility, marketing excellence and the successful delivery of solutions through the management of matrix teams within an organization. Well-established executive with broad business acumen and proven influencing and collaboration skills Possess strong and diverse relationships/network with marketing and business leaders within relevant industries 8-10+ years of experience as a marketing leader in marketing, branding, advertising or related field with specific responsibility for brand development 5+ years in managing high performance teams in an online environment Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
