Job Description:

We are looking for a new full-time member of our in-house media team. The Assistant Media Planner will be responsible for all tasks related to supporting and assisting the media team in preparation of media proposals, plans, budgets, reports and analysis. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment and one that requires attention to detail, good communications skills and ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities


  • Provide Planners, Supervisors and Directors with the necessary data to make media recommendations and supply substantiated backup information to justify those recommendations
  • Assist in the development of media plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively to reach the target audience
  • Provide maintenance for a media plan once it has been implemented, oversee the launch process, and liaise with Trading partner as required
  • Responsible for all media plan entry into internal server and systems for trafficking, coordinate with internal/external teams for all campaigns
  • Compile and analyze post-analysis data and evaluate site proposals
  • Execute various types of competitive analysis
  • Pull research to support the development of media objectives, strategies, and tactics, including @Plan, ComScore, Ad Relevance, eMarketer and google
  • Review industry trades for new sites, innovative and creative ad units and technologies, as well as competitive information
  • Prepare Insertion Orders
  • Create and maintain flowcharts
  • Process invoices and billing status sheets
  • Assist with tracking media expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance
  • Update/maintain archives on the server
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong customer service skills
    • Bachelors Degree or higher plus 1-2 yrs experience is preferred
    • Experience or understanding of planning both print and interactive (knowledge of outdoor and television beneficial)
    • Working knowledge of Google SEM and GDN, YouTube dashboard is a plus
    • Experience planning for Video Game Publisher a plus
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills including both written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills - ability to handle multiple projects at once
    • Self-motivated, fun, dynamic Individual
    • Attention to detail
    • Have good problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills
    • Entrepreneurial and team oriented spirit
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • Familiarity with ComScore, MRI, Evaliant, Nielsen/NetRatings, @Plan preferred
    • Knowledge and use of 3rd party interactive trafficking tools: Conversant, PointRoll, Dart, etc. is a plus
    • On site only; no telecommuting
