Position Details: Full-Time Locations: Culver City, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Valley Glen Grade Levels: Pre-School through Vocational (ages 22 years) Key Responsibilities Instruct individual & small group lessons as directed by the classroom teacher. Implement behavior plans and manage student behavior utilizing positive, strength-based strategies. Apply appropriate crisis intervention protocols in accordance with Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) and school/agency policies to ensure student safety. Assist with paperwork and record keeping as needed. Accompany students on school transportation (taxi/bus) during morning and afternoon routes. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in special education or related field strongly preferred. Must demonstrate capabilities in assisting with all aspects of classroom instruction, including teaching, implementing behavior plans, and managing student behavior utilizing a positive, strengths-based approach. Prior experience working with children in an educational environment highly desired. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
