The Sensors & Payloads Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission
Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal
Electromechanical Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
Conduct research and development in the field of sensor products
(gyroscopes and accelerometers) used in precision position,
navigation and timing (PNT) applications.
Perform sensor system development comprised of requirement
decomposition of the electromechanical system, sensor integration,
characterization and verification testing.
Work under general direction to deliver technical milestones in
support of programs while providing technical oversight and
guidance over the work products of junior engineers.

**This position may be filled at higher level based on the
BS degree in a STEM related field (Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics) with 5 years of relevant engineering
experience; MS degree in STEM related field with 3 years relevant
engineering experience; PhD in STEM related field with 0 years of
BS degree in STEM related field (Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics) with 9 years of relevant engineering
experience; MS in STEM related field with 7 years of relevant
Experience in Control Systems with a proven record of simulating
complex control systems.
Strong mathematical / analytical experience with the ability of
developing closed form expressions to describe electro-mechanical
systems and transfer functions.
Experience in MATLAB.
Experience with Simulink or similar modeling tools for dynamic
Experience with SolidWorks or similar modeling tools for dynamic
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security
Experience with gyroscope or accelerometer development.
Experience with Coriolis Vibratory Gyroscopes.
Experience with MEMS processing and manufacturing methods.
Experience in inertial instrument test methods and procedures.
