Company: Ingersoll Rand Job Location(s): Burbank, CA Start Date: ASAP Employment Term: Regular Employment Type: Full Time Hours per Week: 40 Work Hours (i.e. shift): 8:00AM - 5:00PM Starting Salary Range: Not Provided Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Experience: 5 to 20+ years Required Security Clearance: None Related Categories: Sales - Outside Position Description The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for increasing the sales of the HASKEL BUTECH portfolio through all assigned Channel Distributors and Direct Key accounts (OEM, EPCs, and System Integrators.) The RSM will use superior sales strategy techniques and channel management skills and a full understanding of selling skills to ensure that all focus market sectors are targeted and that sales of all HASKEL BUTECH products are maximized. Duties and Responsibilities: * Management of existing sales channels within the assigned region to encompass establishment of sales targets, submission of performance reviews, monthly sales reports, development of regional sales strategies and supervising corrective action measures as may be required. * Establish annual sales growth targets for Channel Distributors and direct accounts in cooperation with the Director of Sales. * Meeting or exceeding bookings targets * Keep Channel Distributor Scorecards up to date and report progress monthly or additionally as may be requested by the Director of Sales. * Establish and track SMART goals for every assigned Channel Distributor. * When necessary, find replacement distributors and facilitate onboarding of new channel partners. * Participate in the planning and execution of trade show strategies, marketing programs, personnel training and sales presentations. * Complete required corporate assignments in a complete and timely manner. * Provide technical product training as required for all channels in the assigned region. * Maintain complete working knowledge of market trends impacting or likely to impact HASKEL BUTECH sales potential. * Maintain working knowledge of the HASKEL BUTECH portfolio of products. * Identify and spread Channel Distributor best practices throughout the assigned territory. * Ensure that all Channel Distributors are effectively serving their full geography and all market sectors equally well. * Recognize underperforming channel partners and drive improvement plans within these Channel Distributors. * Make targeted field visits to promote sales with key accounts and prospects. * Maintain a professional image of HASKEL BUTECH at all times. Conduct sales calls with Reps and Distributors in the assigned region to support their efforts in growing sales in the assigned region. * Evaluate and suggest new market and existing market opportunities for sales growth in the assigned region. * Collect information relating to changes in the market place in the assigned region. * Make recommendations relating to potential changes in representation and market segmentation as might be required to meet all financial regional objectives. * Keep Outlook calendar up to date (out 30 days). This may transition to CRM at some point in the future. * Complete required corporate assignments in a complete and timely manner. Position Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Engineering. Technical aptitude is highly desirable. * A minimum of five years of selling fluid process equipment and/or related process equipment in the Power, Industrial, Aerospace, Oil & Gas (exploration, production and refining), and similar markets. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Always professional and responsible in appearance, actions and communications. * Strong oral and written communications skills. Comfortable delivering public presentations. * Excellent computer skills to include all Microsoft Office products. * Accustomed to at least 50% travel * Results oriented; able and motivated to both present benefits and close orders. * Self-starter with exceptional motivation to drive sales growth.
