history.Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an
opening for an Electronics Engineering Manager 2 to join our team
of qualified, diverse individuals in Palmdale, CA. This position
will manage the Avionics Integration Engineering home room as well
as support one of Northrop's program efforts.Essential
Functions:Ensuring members have sufficient statement of work,
making decisions regarding awards, balancing resources among
programs, and verifying proper charging practices are
followedManaging member performance, creating and delivering
performance evaluations, overseeing the salary review process, and
supervising employee development and mentoring efforts (including
engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions
for lower performers)Coordinating with programs to ensure
appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions are developed and executed
relative to their section, and managing employee movement between
programsMaking sure members are familiar with and use required
engineering processes and toolsMeeting indirect budget targets and
interpreting higher level guidance for implementation within the
organization.The people management responsibilities described
above, are expected to account for anaverage of 20% of the
candidate's time. The remaining percentage of the candidate's time
is to perform project assigned engineering responsibilities within
the Special Programs Communications IPT. For candidates currently
assigned to the Special Programs Communications IPT, any tasking to
be reassigned, (if any), must be coordinated with candidate's

vigorously to change.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a
STEM discipline with 9 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's
Degree ina STEM discipline with 7 years of relevant
experience.Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a
teamDemonstrated experience in avionics with a focus on payload,
RADAR, or communication systems and subsystems.Ability to obtain
and maintain DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of
time as determined by the company to meet its business
needs.Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a
reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its
business needs. This PAR is required to be obtained prior to the
first day of employment.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in
Engineering disciplineHighly proficient in technical team
management of avionics engineers and direct customer relations.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex technical projects to
successful completion by meeting technical, cost and schedule
requirements and satisfying customer expectations.Current DoD
Secret clearance or Interim DoD Secret clearanCurrent active
Program AccessSalary Range: $143,500 USD $215,300 USDEmployees may
be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
