Discovery Global Brands and Experiences franchise team with business planning & insights, financial modeling revenue and expense forecasting. Also supports financial modeling for division's ultimate process, property evaluations and long-range franchise projections.Your Role Accountabilities...

• Provides support in analyzing and evaluating new franchise opportunities and overall franchise health, including financial modeling, analysis, and preparation of materials for review with senior leadership
• Work with franchise and senior leadership to develop greenlight and financial ultimate projections. Also oversees work to deliver projections to theatrical and content finance teams, including loading of data into financial systems and KPI's/key drivers of projections.
• Management of quarterly business assessment addressing franchise performance emerging risks & opportunities, and other business insights necessary to maximize franchise performance.
• Provides business leaders with financial data and insights to drive decision-making and enhanced understanding of the drivers of franchise profitability.
• Works closely with other functional areas to (e.g. Content & Studios Finance, WBD commercial teams, FCRA, Strategy teams, COE, Business Affairs) to streamline processes, and troubleshoot issues impacting franchise. Also serves as SME for any new business system initiatives.
• Oversees work of senior analyst responsible for Corp ultimate and other franchise deliverables. Participates in divisional and company-wide professional development efforts and supports development of more junior staff across the WBD organization.Qualifications and Experience...
  • 5-10 years in FP&A, corporate development, strategic planning, or management consulting
  • Previous experience with media, entertainment, retail, or consumer products industries preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar field required
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Advanced Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint required
  • Superior communication and presentation skills; must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels
  • Understanding of GAAP and familiarity with ASC 606
  • High level of intellectual curiosity that sparks communication, collaboration, and innovation; must have a willingness to look beyond surface requirements.
  • Ability to adapt and be agile amongst a changing environment and to translate complex problems into solutions
  • Willingness to collaborate with management and peers to advance team and company goals
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to flourish under pressure
  • Detail-oriented, but also able to summarize complex ideas succinctly and develop compelling narratives
