Warner Bros. Distributing, Inc. seeks a VP, Media for the Domestic Media Department. The Media Department is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of advertising budgets and the purchase of media for all domestic theatrical filmed releases. In developing these plans, the department deals directly with advertising agencies and all broadcast media, national print, radio, outdoor and Experiential media. The department also works very closely with the Home Entertainment media team to ensure continuity of planning through the entire lifecycle of a film. This person will develop, build and lead Theatrical Media campaigns, and communicate these efforts to WB senior management, internal departments, financial partners, and filmmakers. Supervises the Theatrical media team and manages the advertising agency. Provides media spending updates and forecasts to Finance and key stakeholders. Serves as the key team lead for specific film verticals and also the primary conduit to the Home Entertainment media team to ensure cohesive and collaborative planning across divisions. Develop and manage the overall planning, execution and maintenance of media plans, budgets and schedules. Ensure that the media plans are consistent with the overall marketing strategy for each film and communicates plan details with EVP and management. Oversee buys for all media (e.g. Cable, Spanish Language, Radio, Outdoor, Print, etc.). Manages annual commitments (e.g. Sports, Finales, Bus Shelters, etc.), providing the Media EVP with recommendations and updates. Presents overall media plan initiatives to internal and external stakeholders in meetings. As needed provides media and budget updates to management, filmmakers and key stakeholders. Regularly attends internal cross-divisional meetings and collaborates with other groups on each film's marketing initiatives. Collaborates with internal department heads to ensure strategic and budgetary efficiencies throughout the campaign. Develops and directs Experiential media executions, frequently communicating with internal teams to ensure strong synergy with all departments. Leads the team in innovative thinking and inspires creativity, keeping up with the latest innovation in all mediums. Manages all upfront spends, ensuring all commitments are satisfied and inventory is shifted as needed. Manages the allocation of network/cable sponsorships throughout the year, working with internal departments on the execution for assigned films. Provides proactive leadership, guiding the development of team members. Participates in weekly internal meetings and brainstorms for assigned films and will represent the Media team's efforts. Fosters regular communication and constant collaboration with the Home Entertainment media team to ensure continuity of planning across all distribution windows of a film. Other related duties and projects as assigned What do we require from you? BA in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field strongly preferred. Approximately 12 years of advertising / media planning experience required, with approximately 6 years being directly related to the motion picture industry. Knowledge of marketing and media sufficient to develop media plans for the promotion of Warner Bros. products. Must be able to develop, monitor and manage budgets and expenditures. Must have experience managing a team. Must be able to analyze the effectiveness of media advertising. Must be able to lead a team, supervise, guide and evaluate support staff in the performance of their tasks.
