Job Description:
The Lead Pharmacy eProcurement Specialist will perform all
functions of a Pharmacy eProcurement Specialist in addition to
added responsibilities. Among those responsibilities is providing
functional direction, under indirect supervision, to assigned union
staff in the day-to-day departmental activities. The Lead reports
to the department Supervisor within Pharmacy Materials Services.
The Lead is responsible for helping to ensure that the department
operations meet processing targets, quality standards and comply
with both departmental and Kaiser Permanente policies and
procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
required
- Type 40 words per minute.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
required.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize work.
- Must have the ability to work well with others and in
coordination with management and team.
- Needs strong customer service skills with the ability to
recognize, understand, and meet the needs of his or her managers
and customers at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment, negotiate conflict and
difficult situations with tact and candor.
- Must be willing to guide team as directed by management.
- Must be able to communicate conflicting deadlines and realistic
estimations of completion to management.
- Needs ability to recognize need for procedural change and possess
individual as well as collaborative decision making skills.
- Must be able to lead routine team meetings upon request.
- Significant experience working with personal computers and common
desktop applications.
- Proficiency in use of Kaiser Permanente's current standard
Windows and Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes applications
preferred.
- Must be able to maintain the integrity of highly confidential
information.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership
environment.
- Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and
behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive
service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted
providers, and vendors.
Basic Qualifications:
--- Significant (5+ years) pharmacy experience as an inventory
control assistant, technician or equivalent experience.
--- Associates degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
--- Type 40 words per minute.
--- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.

required.

Preferred Qualifications:
--- Significant (2+ years) pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy
eProcurement Specialist
--- Proficiency in use of Kaiser Permanente's current standard
Windows and Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes applications
preferred.
--- Candidate must be organized with experience in Pharmacy
Purchasing, Medical Errors resolution, collaborative style and
multi-tasker in fast-paced environment.
