Job Description:
Mission Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and
compassionate Med Surg RN to join our night shift team in Panorama
City, CA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing
care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, ensuring patient
safety, comfort, and recovery throughout the night.
Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
during night shifts. Monitor patient health and vital signs,
administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare
professionals to develop and update individualized patient care
plans. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide supportive care
as needed. Document nursing care activities and patient responses
accurately and timely. Educate patients and their families about
care plans, procedures, and post-discharge needs. Maintain a safe,
clean, and therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital
policies and procedures. Requirements Current and valid Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Minimum of 1 year
experience in a medical-surgical nursing role preferred. BLS and
ACLS certifications required. Strong clinical nursing skills and
ability to provide compassionate care. Excellent communication,
problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
effectively during night shifts and adapt to changing patient
