- - - - TITLE:Housekeeper JOB CODE: HKR FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-exempt EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time PROGRAM:Maintenance TRAVEL:Minimal SUPERVISOR: Maintenance Director Date: 2.2023 POSITION SUMMARYAssures completion of all housekeeping and laundry tasks. Assumes responsibility for general cleanliness of the building. Monitors needed janitorial and maintenance work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn addition to all components of the above position summary the following "Essential Duties and Responsibilities" are essential to successful performance in this positionEssential Functions

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Communicates chemical, supply and equipment needs to Executive Director.
• Maintains required records; uses Maintenance Request Log appropriately.
• Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents' apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
• Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned.
• Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Observes problems, concerns, and issues observed with Resident units, the community, and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe incumbent in this position has no supervisory responsibilitiesEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS - This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
