Your New Role...

As a Senior Recruiter (News), you'll partner with leaders across CNN and CNN International to understand their talent needs. You'll spend your time engaging top talent in the market and getting them excited about the work we do. You'll rely on traditional and non-traditional methods to identify candidates. You'll manage the end-to-end recruiting process (posting roles, leading kickoffs, screening & evaluating candidates, managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, serving as an Advisor to hiring managers, prioritizing diversity, ensuring the interview process is inclusive, and, finally, offer negotiation).

This role will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager and will be based in any of our hubs (ATL, NY, DC, Burbank) with some travel.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Lead recruiting strategy development and partner with various stakeholders to understand business, department, and position needs.
  • Develop effective talent sourcing strategies inclusive of DEI, internal talent, and intern pipelines.

  • Advise hiring managers on interview process, best practices, market intelligence, and salary negotiation.
  • Build and leverage network (business resource groups, professional organizations with a focus on diversity) to become a subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with the WBD Diversity Outreach team to target, attend, and source from key industry events and bespoke activations.
  • Support, educate, and advocate for internal talent.
  • Participate in special projects that support continuous business process improvement.

    Qualifications & Experience...
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a news or media talent acquisition organization.
    • Prior experience hiring news talent is strongly preferred.
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with external/internal talent, People & Culture Partners, and executives.
    • Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand various business functions across the news organization.
    • Strong process management, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
