As a GAIN Job Developer, you will connect with community and area employers to help members of your local community by connecting them with available employment resources. Job Developers have an opportunity for bonuses.We are looking for individuals (Business Services Specialists) who are skilled at developing relationships with companies and organizations who have job opportunities (open hiring needs) that match our job seekers' skills. The Business Services Specialist position is a key role in the organization's success. Candidates for this position must be able to cold call employers, build relationships with local partners, and host and attend local job fairs, etc. to meet the targets required for hiring. The Business Services Specialist will work with the job seekers to match skills, attitude and experience to job opportunities and provide coaching to job seekers for career guidance.
Job Summary
All job functions will be performed onsite after training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify employers with job openings that meet the job seekers' qualifications, meet with the employers to discuss the job requirements, and match job seekers with the skills to the employment opportunity.
  
• Work with community groups and local organizations to bolster hiring opportunities for the job seekers
  
• Work with colleagues to discuss job opportunities and candidates and coordinate referrals to employers with the local team
  
• Be able to understand and discuss the labor market, potential employer tax incentives and credits, labor laws, and wage and hour rules with employers
  
• Develop strong relationships with local economic development groups, chambers of commerce, and industry leaders to provide hiring opportunities for local job seekers.
  
• Work with individual employers and/or groups of employers to organize job fairs, mass interviews, on-site recruitment, or other recruitment efforts
  
• Must be able to provide feedback to job seekers, coach them on such things as: interviewing skills, job search techniques, and good work performance
  
• Manage all employer and business contacts in the customer relationship management database system
  
• Be able to write reports in Word or Excel for tracking and measuring performance
  
• Be a self-starter, be positive, be passionate about developing job opportunities and community partnerships
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
  
  Minimum Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience.
    
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or business-related field preferred
    
  • At least three (3) years of customer service, or outreach experience required
    
  • Experience with getting people hired, relationships with local employers, the Chamber of Commerce and/or other community groups strongly preferred

    Pay TransparencyMaximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
