Job Description:
Are you a Software Quality Engineer with 3+ yrs of experience and enjoy the challenge of a startup? Platform Factory, Inc. is looking for a Software Quality Engineer with proficient experience in each of the phases of software development and testing process. The candidate must have experience working on a software-as-a-service based product. Experience in the payments field is a big plus.
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will have a self starter attitude with a high level of ownership, self motivation, and accountability.
Requirements

• 
  Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  
  
• 
  Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
  
  
• 
  Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities and provide audit trail of those activities for legal and compliance.
  
  
• 
  Design, develop and execute automation scripts using industry standard open source tools
  
  
• 
  Identify, record and track bugs. Document thoroughly using bug tracking tools like JIRA
  
  
• 
  Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and produce an audit trail of regression activities.
  
  
• 
  Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  
  
• 
  Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  
  
• 
  Serve as first line of defense for level 2 support escalations, investigate to respond to parters or escalate to appropriate engineering group
  
  
• 
  Assist in maintenance of technical docs and specs
  
  
• 
  Assist with parter integration validation and certification
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • 
    3+ years experience implementing industry standard automated testing tools.
    
    
  • 
    3+ years experience with software QA, startup and SaaS environments would be a huge plus.
    
    
  • 
    Proven track record in creating and documenting test cases along with producing audit logs using tools like Zephyr.
    
    
  • 
    Experience in building automated testing for REST APIs using Jest, Mocha or similar frameworks.
    
    
  • 
    Sound understanding of CI and CD processes.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with JavaScript, Python, Jest (or similar testing frameworks) required.
    
    
  • 
    Experience in testing React based applications is preferred.
    
    
  • 
    Proficient in testing in different browsers and with various devices.
    
    
  • 
    Familiar with AWS and/or Google Cloud.
    
    
  • 
    BS or MS in computer science, math, engineering or another technical field is a plus.
