Extension is possible Overview: The Supply Chain Analyst I –
Transportation Operations supports the execution and monitoring of
domestic and international transportation activities across
Company’s medical device supply chain. This role assists with
freight tracking, freight account management, Transportation
Management System (TMS) support, and cross-functional coordination
to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective product delivery.
This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to
build a career in transportation and supply chain within a highly
regulated medical device environment. Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Operations Support Monitor daily shipment activity
and track freight to ensure on-time delivery to distribution
centers, customers, and manufacturing sites. Escalate and support
resolution of transportation delays, service failures, and carrier
issues. Assist in expediting critical or backordered shipments.
Support carrier communication and documentation requirements.
Freight Account & Invoice Support Assist with freight account setup
and maintenance. Review freight invoices for accuracy and support
discrepancy resolution. Support claims processing and follow-up
with carriers. TMS (Transportation Management System) Support
Support load creation, shipment tendering, and status updates
within TMS. Maintain accurate shipment data and master data inputs.
Assist with troubleshooting system issues and escalate as needed.
Support reporting and data validation activities. Cross-Functional
Collaboration Work closely with Planning to align shipments with
production schedules. Support Customer Service with shipment status
updates and delivery confirmations. Coordinate with Stakeholders
and Operations for special shipping requirements and obtaining spot
quotes. Communicate shipment risks and mitigation plans to internal
stakeholders. Supporting Domestic/International employee shipments.
Compliance & Process Support Follow BD quality standards and
regulatory requirements related to transportation. Maintain
documentation in accordance with SOPs. Participate in continuous
improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply
Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (recent graduates
encouraged to apply). 0–2 years of experience in supply chain,
logistics, or operations preferred. Internship or co-op experience
in transportation or distribution is a plus. Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables
preferred). Familiarity with ERP or TMS systems (OTM experience is
a plus but not required). Strong attention to detail and data
accuracy. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational skills and
ability to manage multiple tasks. Effective written and verbal
communication skills. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to
learn. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional
environment. Patient/Customer-focused and service-oriented
approach.
