We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Cost
Accountant. Responsibilities include leading inventory & material
accounting processes, as well as reporting of company-owned
materials and inventory. This role ensures accurate tracking,
valuation, and reconciliation of raw materials, parts, and supplies
used for production, research, and strategic purposes. The position
requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and
knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost
Accounting Standards (CAS), and inventory management practices.
This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California. This position's
internal job is Accountant. Our team is currently hiring for level
4. Position Responsibilities: Accounting for purchases, receipts,
transfers, and consumption of materials and company-owned inventory
Performs month-end close procedures to ensure inventory balances
are calculated correctly. Reviews and posts journal entries for
inventory movements into the General Ledge Ensures company costing
methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) are accurately applied to
arrive inventory value Calculates reserves for E&O (excess &
obsolete) and slow-moving inventory Performs inventory & material
analyses required by GAAP, CAS, FAR, or other authoritative and
regulatory bodies, such as Lower of Cost or Market Analysis,
Purchase Price Variance, Scrap, inventory reserves, etc. Performs
monthly reconciliations between inventory subledger and general
ledger. Investigates discrepancies from cycle counts, scrapping, or
lost inventory. Manage company-owned inventory accounts, cost of
goods sold (COGS) accounts, and other inventory related balance
sheet accounts Analyzes manufacturing variances (PPV, labor,
overhead absorption, scrap) and recommend corrective actions
Develops and maintain standard costing methodologies Ensures
compliance with Boeing accounting policies and internal controls
Partners with corporate audit team to resolve control deficiencies
and support compliance efforts. Maintain and enforce corporate
financial policies and procedures Supports government audits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy
and streamline inventory and material processes Coordinate with
cross-functional teams for consistent KPI tracking and reporting
Lead financial discussions in operations reviews and deliver
actionable insights Participates in special projects focused on
process improvement, system automation, and policy development
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s
degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CMA, CPA, or MBA
preferred) Minimum of 10 years of material and inventory accounting
experience in a manufacturing environment or similar Strong
knowledge of material accounting, inventory accounting, cost
accounting, and financial reporting Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP
systems Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence
operational outcomes Ability to analyze data, identify problems,
and develop effective solutions This position requires the ability
to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government
requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security
Clearance Post-Start is required Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Experience in aerospace and defense or other
government contractors desired Extensive experience with Costpoint,
including a deep understanding of advanced functionalities and best
practices in the Accounting and Materials domains Conflict of

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: Level 4:
$102,000 - $150,000 Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant
Company. This position is located at a facility that requires
special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a
security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to
