NYFA is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.Job SummaryNew York Film Academy is looking for an experienced recruiter who will serve as a leader among the enrollment team. As an Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting students for our degree and conservatory programs. You will be responsible for outreach, relationship building, and the creation of networking opportunities with teachers, counselors, students, and families through travel in a given territory.The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator with the ability to represent the New York Film Academy in large-scale presentations, classroom workshops, one-on-one appointments, college fairs, conferences, and various recruitment events. Time management, flexibility, meticulous organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are all crucial for success in the position.ResponsibilitiesRepresent the New York Film Academy at high schools, community colleges, community organizations, educational fairs, and NYFA recruitment events around the countryConduct presentations and/or workshops at high schools and community colleges for guidance counselors, prospective students, and parentsCultivate and maintain relationships with highs schools, community colleges, and community organizations in assigned regionsRegularly conduct interviews, portfolio reviews and auditions to determine prospective students' eligibilityProvide consultation services to students and families regarding the college admissions processRecommend and develop innovative approaches to attracting the most competitive candidates to NYFARecruit applicants for admission in accordance with state laws, accreditation regulations, and the highest ethical standardsCreate effective reports for team leaders and management that identify the positive and negative aspects for every event attendedOrganize outside events to create brand awareness and promote all New York Film Academy programsComplete data entry of student information, event contacts, and school contactsFollow up with prospective students met at recruitment eventsQualificationsBilingual, Portugues preferred Ability to work nights and weekendsPositive attitude and strong work ethicAbility to handle a heavy travel scheduleExcellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver a compelling story to prospective studentsBackground in the arts and teaching highly desirableFluency in Spanish highly desirableBachelor's degree minimumMinimum of 1-2 years admissions, recruitment or customer service experienceValid passport & driver's license requiredNew York Film Academy ("NYFA") is an equal opportunity employer.
