A successful Print Supervisor demonstrates skill in 'owning' and 'being accountable for' the business, which is defined as a clear understanding of overarching, high level business objectives for the client; and how, strategically, OMG23 is recommending we achieve those objectives. The Supervisor is tasked with managing client deliverables, along with day-to-day implementation of the magazine and newspaper planning process. This role is also responsible for coordinating all assets between client/agency creative and distribution teams. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications is required for design of theater base layouts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Group Director to establish media objectives and strategies for advertising campaigns
  • Ensure delivery against key milestones, build and manage timelines for media campaigns
  • Ability to manage direct client contact for day-to-day questions and develop appropriate courses of action
  • Explore media alternatives and develop media solutions, demonstrating strategic thinking, creativity, and solid decision-making
  • Oversee media plan and budget maintenance, ensuring strong level of accuracy
  • Manage insertion orders and monthly billing reports
  • Compile and interpret media research for use in print media plan development
  • Present print media plans and recommendations internally and to clients
  • Stay apprised of new opportunities by meeting with media/vendor representatives on an ongoing basis; Formulate POVs
  • Maintain knowledge of current print media industry issues and trends
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and delivered on time
  • Work closely with clients' creative teams/agencies to coordinate delivery of newspaper creative assets and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Work closely with theater distribution teams to manage theater information by market
  • Work with on/offline planning counterparts to develop and sync strategy, including digital efforts
  • Negotiate rates directly with newspaper publications
  • Run point on historical/competitive analysis

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 4 years of Print media planning experience
  • Experience with Newspaper theater listings desired
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign
  • Proven analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
  • Proven media planning skills
  • Clear understanding of the media process
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficient in proprietary analytics and syndicated research tools
