CURRENT SALARY IS $6,446/month.
AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE POLICE ACADEMY, THE
SALARY IS INCREASED TO $7,161.70 - $8,943.98/month OR AN ANNUAL
SALARY OF $85,940 - $107,328.

Under direction, to attend a regular basic Peace Officer
Standards and Training (POST) certified recruit academy and will be
sworn in as a full duty Police Officer upon graduation; and to do
related work as required.
Attends a regular basic POST certified academy designed to
provide an entire overview of the criminal justice system which
includes training in laws, police procedures, law enforcement
techniques, first aid, and physical fitness; drives on City
Employment Standards: Ability to observe and learn various
laws, police procedures, law enforcement techniques, and first aid;
analyze problems and have the potential to rationally and calmly
take effective action in emergency and stress situations; undergo
strenuous physical conditioning; establish and maintain effective

Special Conditions & Requirements: Applicants must be at
