Job Description:
As a technology management firm, Synpact, is looking for an
experienced Low Voltage Tech to join our growing and stable
team.
Our techs are responsible for the installation, configuration,
maintenance, and diagnosing all Low Voltage, Access Control, Audio
Video and Security system related hardware and software. You will
work as part of small team in most cases, but may also be asked to
work independently on some projects.
Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not limited
to:
- Apply knowledge to install low voltage infrastructure, security
systems, access control systems, audio video systems, VoIP systems
and information technology systems
- Installation, termination, test, label, program, dress, route
and document CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, Coax, RG59, RG11, and fiber cable
for commercial and residential buildings.
- Identify problems, troubleshoot, and implement resolutions
- Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted
applications while onsite
- Diagnose and resolve problems and concerns associated with
implemented information systems, network software applications, and
peripheral devices reported by administrative users
- Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all
system builds and modifications
Ideal knowledge, skills and/or abilities include, but not limited
to:
- 2 - 3 years of experience as a Low Voltage Tech in commercial
industry Basic knowledge of ANSI/EIA/TIA standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals,
specifications, and operational product manuals
- Ability to work in a team or independently and communicate
effectively via service/project tickets in ConnectWise to clients
and internal team
- Termination of patch panels and RJX inserts knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer skills, tech savvy
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, balanced business
judgement, tact, and diplomacy
- Excellent problem-solving skills, in highly sensitive, complex
situations
- Ability to self-start, high reliability, & very organized
- Able to meet multiple deadlines, with great attention to
detail
- Strong relationship skills, able to develop & maintain strong
relationships with management, staff, vendors, and clients
- Respond adequately to inquiries or complaints
Must be able to:
- Walk, lift, reach, sit, squat, bend, stand, grasp, balance,
climb, kneel, crouch and type for extended periods of time up to
ten (10) hours
- Work in this environment is considered work requiring the
exertion of up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally and up to
twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and up to ten (10)
pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Be sensitive to cultural differences among individuals and
groups of persons
- Safely operate a motor vehicle
- Operate/use a variety of job specific office machines, drive a
company vehicle, and other office equipment
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license, and clean driving
record to be endured by company's insurance
Hours and Compensation:
- $22-$25/Hourly pay, Based on experience
- Hours vary based on project but are typically 7 - 4, but can be
as early as 5am and as late as 6pm, or later depending on the need
of the project, and occasional weekends, so flexibility is
critical. Overtime is paid after 40 hours.
