The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly-evolving consumer habits. Combining the Company's direct-to-consumer streaming services - ESPN+, the Disney+ streaming service and its ownership stake in Hulu -- alongside Disney's international media businesses, DMED aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company's global footprint and deliver highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.Job Summary:The Analyst, Content Planning & Analysis (CP&A) will be responsible for partnering with international CP&A teams to set targets, track, evaluate, and contextualize performance of global and local content on the various Disney Streaming platforms (Disney+, Hulu, Star+, and Hotstar). The Analyst will work cross-functionally to share best practices and methodologies, and to surface insights which drive content decision making. The role involves the application of analytical and financial methodologies, as well as KPI tracking and reporting to evaluate content performance. -The CP&A team collaborates closely with global and regional stakeholders, including finance, data analytics, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) segment strategy, research and operational marketing and programming teams. The CP&A function reports into the DMED Finance organization.Responsibilities:

  • Building complex models to analyze and forecast the global performance of local-language content (generally using Excel to clean, manipulate, and interpret large sets of data)
  • Collaborating with international teams about upcoming content releases as well as methodologies and processes for evaluating content performance
  • Tracking performance KPIs of local original content from a title's initial release to its global release in all markets against targets
  • Creating succinct, executive-facing presentations that summarize analyses about title expectations and performance, and insights on portfolio-level, regional-level, or genre-level performance trends
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration, across regions, on a variety of projects around content portfolio strategy, from licensing arrangements to audience investment strategies
  • Compiling thoughtful analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement on past content investment decisionsBasic Qualifications:
    • At least 1 year of work experience in consulting, investing banking, finance/strategy/content roles at media /technology companies, or other quantitative fields
    • Candidates must be highly analytical and effective communicators who can thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
    • Candidates should possess intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity
    • Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work effectively in collaborative and autonomous environments. Professional maturity and high EQ are must-haves
    • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including exceptional Excel modeling skills
    • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines and coordinate with stakeholders in a matrixed organization
    • Proficiency with PowerPoint slide building and creating visualizations of complex data sets
    • Familiarity with statistical concepts and unit economics
    • Demonstrated interest in the entertainment industry and the streaming business, with a passion for global content and diverse storytellingPreferred Qualifications:
      • Prior experience in Media/Entertainment and familiarity with the entertainment landscape in at least one international market is a plus
      • Prior experience in collaborating with teams based in different global locations and time zonesRequired Education
        • 4-year degree in relevant fields with strong academic performance
