TitleContent Services Lead TechnicianPosition SummaryThe Content
Services Lead Technician is responsible for the creation of Digital
Cinema Packages (DCPs), ProRes master files and downstream
deliverables. Additionally, the Content Services Lead Technician
checks and conforms the specifications of source materials in
preparation for Digital Cinema file creation. The Content Services
Lead Technician is a point person for technical questions and
troubleshooting, assist management in enacting and documenting new
workflows, and trains new and current Content Services
employees.You bring a good understanding of industry standard
deliverables and downstream specifications. You're enthusiastic
about evolving technologies and adapting these to our client's
needs. You will use both industry standard and bespoke software to
ensure that our client's demands are satisfied within their
timescales. You are a highly motivated individual and able to work
as part of a team. A flexible attitude is desired as additional
tasks, overtime and weekend work may be required. This role reports
to the Manager of Mastering.This is a union-based position with a
shift that runs from Thursday-Sunday 5pm-6am. It is also 100%
onsite at our Burbank office location.Main DutiesCheck, prep and
conform source materials in preparation for creation of DCPsCreate
non digital cinema outputs of various media formats including
downstream deliverablesComplete ad-hoc project work, and deliver
files for new emerging technologiesCreate Digital Cinema Packages
for 2D/3D, 2K/4K, dubbed, subtitled and immersive audio
formatsDeliver high quality of service while working with and
liaising with internal Deluxe departmentsUsing and completing
orders in Deluxe business systemsResponsible for training new and
current employees.Working with project management to prioritize
workloadUnderstand and enact new workflowsBe a point person for
technical questions and troubleshootingWhat You BringPicture and
audio editing, transcoding, encoding, sound syncing, and color
conversion experience is desirable.A solid understanding of Film &
Digital file formats is preferredWorking knowledge of industry
standard editing and encoding systems such as, Colorfront
Transkoder, DVS Clipster, Adobe CC and Telestream VantageExperience
within a similar postproduction finishing environment is a
plusProficient with Linux, Mac OS, WindowsExcellent verbal and
written communication skills with excellent accuracy and attention
to detailGood understanding of technical software and related
systemsAbility to handle high pressure situations and sensitive
informationStrong IT literacyExcellent trouble-shooting skills and
ability to multi-taskAbility to prioritize and work to strict

Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $57,200
- $65,780 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on
education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
