Entertainment Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst, Enterprise Financial Services for the EFS Global TV, CP, DCE department. Position is responsible for the oversight of record-to-report (R2R) and invoice-to-cash (ITC) processes for Consumer Products (CP). This role would support the General Ledger Management and transactional processing of the licensing operations within various systems (Oracle, LMS and SAP). Duties to include standardization and improvements to processes, general ledger stewardship for assigned territories/agents, month end closing, consolidation of actual results and preparation of statements and analysis according to reporting obligations (Participations, Audits, etc.). - Provide support for month end close activities including: trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, proper posting of revenue, AR aging preparation and other related GL account analysis. - Analyze and review financials on a global business or process level to ensure a consistent global approach. - Use independent judgment to review journal entries that impact the Company's financial statements. - In-depth knowledge of accounting rules to properly interpret and determine applicable accounting treatment. - Ensure GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) are implemented and adhered to for respective BU. - Support in the strategic direction for the process (e.g., revenue, reserves, reporting, etc.) and help drive forward with execution of standardization and improvements for the given process. - Responsible for establishing and ensuring timeliness of overall monthly close activities and accuracy of close processes. - Interact and maintain the highest level of customer service with Business Unit operations and 3rd parties (licensees, auditors, etc.) who rely on the accuracy and timeliness of the information provided. - Review Analysts' input of licensee royalty statement information across all relevant dimensions, capturing withholding tax transactions, daily cash clearing and application to customer account balances and related journal entries in Ariba & SAP. - Ensure that licensees comply with standard royalty and cash reporting requirements during review of royalty statement and cash postings. - Maintain Licensee/Agent Accounts and manage transactions to reflect accurate balances. Duties will include preparation of manual invoices as required and process write-offs. - Handle complex analysis of licensee accounting, compiling data, researching issues and reconciling discrepancies and making recommendations. - Prepare statements that support reporting obligations for third party representations. - For assigned titles, prepare Name & Likeness, Separated Rights and any other participation analyses required that supports third party reporting obligations. - Support all constituents performing audit activities surrounding WBCP ITC processes. - Provide talent audit support that includes: preparing a desk audit of all contracts reported for a title under audit period; supporting the auditor in sample selection; providing supporting documentation for items selected (contracts, royalty statements, cash, write offs, etc.). - Assist in the enhancements/testing of systems to support the day to day transactions of GL management and to improve financial operations.What do we require from you? - Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance required. - CPA or MBA preferred. - Minimum 3-5 years work experience working with accounting/finance or related financial area required. - Previous 'Big 4' accounting experience preferred. - Must have experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and/or Microsoft Dynamics. - PC Skills: Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel or Access required. - Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, other levels of personnel and outside clients. - Must be able to pay close attention to detail. - Must be able to work well under time constraints. - Must be able to work in a fast environment. - Must be able to handle multiple tasks. - Must have the ability to organize and prioritize. - Domestic & international travel may be required as needed. * The Warner Bros.
