Projects are evaluated to help ensure compliance with local, state and federal health, safety and environmental regulations.The Production Safety Specialist provides technical guidance and safety resource to film and television projects that are insured through the Disney risk Management Program. The position facilitates an open communication with production regarding day-to-day safety issues and hazards. The individual evaluates production activity to help ensure compliance with local, state and federal health, safety and environmental regulations while productions work on a studio stage or at locations outside of a fixed studio.The position mixes both fundamental safety skills and film/television production knowledge in assisting production in identifying and resolving safety concerns involving stunts, special effects, aircraft, watercraft, rigging, etc. The individual is involved during all aspects of physical production including set construction, actual production and striking of sets.
