Posting Job Description What part will you play? Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. seeks a Supervisor, Sales Forecasting for the Sales Planning & Analysis department. In this role, you will work under the direction of the manager and director to determine the appropriate forecasting method, predictor variables and statistical model validation techniques for Franchise titles. Responsibilities include: Provide New Release POS, Shipment and Returns Forecasts for all National Accounts by budgeted title and replenishment forecasts (leads) to Operations on all franchise titles Communicate franchise forecast/actual results to Account Executives, Director of Sales Forecasting, and WHV Executive Management. Create and maintain hybrid data sets Teradata (Bus. Obj., MSI, SAS) & Local (SAS) for WHV and competitive (Nielsen) titles. Work with Research and Marketing to develop sources for external market driver information sources (Nielsen/NPD/IRI, etc.) and work with IT in defining key metrics for causal model development Develop price elasticity models for new release title, design automated sensitivity analyses of forecasting processes, including model selection and testing and build logic to limit large differences in forecast outputs and develop single to multi-disc, New market entry analytics, including non-parametric forecasting algorithms Define and execute variance reports, including Post Event Analyses and Score Cards. What do we require from you? BS degree in Statistics/Math or equivalent work experience. 1+ years in new product business analysis or research assistant experience. Must have experience extracting & segmenting data to facilitate analysis. Must have expert/advanced SAS experience or other comparable statistical software (i.e., R, SPSS or MATLAB ,strong working knowledge of SQL (SAS Proc SQL/Oracle/other ANSI standard) and a high degree of proficiency with Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Must have working knowledge of data mining techniques (decision trees, pattern recognition - not simply OLAP) The Warner Bros.
